San Diego’s climate is one of the great gifts of living here — and a well-designed outdoor space can effectively expand the usable square footage of your home year-round. We approach landscape and outdoor design with the same thoughtfulness we bring to interior work: considering how you’ll actually use the space, how it connects to the interior, and how it will evolve through the seasons.
Our landscape work includes hardscape design and construction (patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and water features), planting design with drought-tolerant and California-native species, outdoor kitchen and entertaining space design, and pergola and shade structure installation. We work in close coordination with irrigation and lighting specialists to deliver a complete outdoor environment.
Indoor-outdoor flow is a particular focus — how the interior transitions to the exterior through door placement, level changes, material continuity, and sight lines. A well-designed transition makes both spaces feel larger and more cohesive. A poorly designed one makes both feel smaller.
San Diego’s evolving water regulations make drought-tolerant design not just an environmental choice but a practical one. We design landscapes that are beautiful in their restraint — working with the region’s natural palette of succulents, ornamental grasses, Mediterranean herbs, and native chaparral species to create gardens that are low-maintenance and deeply characteristic of this place.
